Heshima ya Kimba Fuku Shabalala

Heshima ya Kimba Fuku Shabalala (we call him Shabi) has been born on 11.11.2004 in Port-Elizabeth, SAR, in famous kennel Heshima ya Kimba, from Sire Thau Gawie of Nullgai and Dam Heshima ya Kimba Chakanyuka. After being in summer for two months he moved in another point on Earth in Russian winter. It took three days to come from South Africa to Russia: first flight from Port-Elizabeth to Johannesburg, then long flight from Johannesburg to Amsterdam, where Shabi has spent a day awaiting for a flight to Moscow, then flight from Amsterdam to Moscow and half-a-day of awaiting for customs clearance in cold and unfriendly Sheremetievo.

12 months

We expected that we will meet very tired puppy and even arranged emergency assistance in vet clinic close to Sheremetievo, in Khimki city, but we met very active full of energy puppy. He was very glad to meet us after so long journey. He met Rebecca and very quickly they become friends. Some weeks after he went for vaccination, where he surprised doctor by his cool temper, he got asleep on vets table being really conscious to all procedures. He has seen snow first time in his life and he did not like it first, choosing paths to avoid snowing places. But during next months he got accustomed to snow and freeze and now he likes running in the snow. Due to the climate he was wearing warm dog coat following last fashion trends.

17 months

In January Shabi took part in two dog shows hold in one day in Moscow, Russia: National Dog Show and Rhodesian Ridgeback Mono-Breed Show. He was highly appreciated by judges and in competition with two other boys and one girl he became Best Baby in Mono-Breed Show. Later in the same day he became a Winner in Puppy class in National Show, Baby class was not arranged in this show so he was competing with eight-months-old boy and he won. We were really proud of him, he was indeed cool and moved without problems on the ring, he was not afraid of judges, other dogs and public, he allowed observing his teeth to judge. His friend Rebecca was carefully looking for him from the edge of the ring and it seemed that she intends to give him some advises how to show. Please find photos of Shabi on our site.
